No falsies today...I haven't been wearing eyeshadow the past few days which is why I haven't posted. Obviously I'm not wearing any today either, but I felt like posting. I thought I'd skip the falsies for a day just for kicks...I kinda feel like I'm nekkid :P.
Pictures taken without flash in my room come out yellowish
Very uninteresting look, but I'll list the stuff anyway
Physicians Formula translucent mineral powder
theBalm Hot Mama
Revlon Colorstay in black on upper lashline
Random brown pencil with brand name rubbed off on lower lashline
Lancome Hypnose
Lancome Color Fever gloss in Summer Nights
Off to finish getting ready for a night of cheap vodka and wine...and stories and profound discoveries that are only profound after a few drinks.

Failed contest attempt :(
I was going to re-create a neutral look from Jessica Alba for Rai's contest(celeb inspired neutral or smokey look). My pictures never come out right at night. My lighting is crap so the 3 1/2 gallons of bronzer I'm wearing don't look right, my blush isn't showing up , blah blah etc. I'm gonna have to try again in the daytime so that I can use natural lighting. I complain a lot about my pictures...maybe it's time to look at new cameras. Oh well, I can do a much better job on the eye makeup anyway...this is a bit messy.
Purple fotd and I love the Revlon matte lippies!
I wouldn't wear Nude Attitude with the eye makeup I'm wearing, but I wanted to post a pic of it anyway. I bought Nude Attitude and Pink Pout, and I love both.
I started out with my hair up since I didn't feel like fixing it today, but later took it down because I resemble a praying mantis with my hair up...not kidding
Wearing Nude Attitude
Wearing Pink Pout
On my eyes:
L'oreal de-crease
Urban Decay Fishnet
Milani Wild Violets quad and a highlight color

Whore-ified Kentucky Derby Barbie (Contest)
This is for the lovely Laura Faye's Barbie contest.
I had on a demure knee length floral dress, but the colors looked too subdued to me in the pictures. I switched to the minidress because the dress color combined with my bag matched my eyeshadow perfectly. I stuck some flowers on my baby sister's easter hat which explains why it's so little :D. My makeup is pretty similar to the Barbie Loves MAC look because I'm not creative at all...I did mine a little brighter though. The close up pics were taken by the window since I wanted it to look nice and sunny.
Kentucky Derby Barbie
Barbie loves Mac
Sorry I couldn't do ya justice Barbie...you're just too damn good looking.

I had to add this one...Leslie fixed it up to give it a little kick. Looks way kickassier than the original up there.

Opinions and new video
Which hair color do you think I look better in...light or dark? My mom and boyfriend prefer it lighter, but other people usually say I look better with dark hair. I've been told that I look like I'm trying to not look Asian when I lighten my hair...wtf? I'd like your opinions since you all have more knowledge in the beauty department. I usually lighten during the summer and darken in the fall and winter just like a lot of other people.
I made a new video too. I think the colors kinda show up better in this one. I hope so anyway.

Another tut...plummy pink, and dark blue
I never do anything on Sundays so I made another one since I can probably only make these on weekends.
Awesome goodies from Mai. Thanks again...everything edible is gone. Yum yum.

Video
I didn't talk since I was going to speed up the video anyway. I'll replace this with a better one whenever I get the chance. If there is a look I've done that you want to see a video on, just let me know...or if there's some particular kind of look you want to see. I don't think it's my camera making it look so bad, it might be my lights. I hear fluorescent bulbs are unflattering.

Testing camera...please excuse my face
I wasn't speaking quietly so I don't know why it's so quiet. I'll speak louder next time though. This video is pretty useless; I was mainly testing the camera out. I managed to kinda go through how I curl my hair...then I got cut off. I need to change the size setting on my camera so it's not so crappy when it's bigger.

New bag woohoo
I saw this at Saks and fell in love. I decided to buy it so I searched for it online since Saks is over an hour away from me. I was so excited when I saw it for sale on eluxury. As much as I despise some of Juicy Couture's stuff, I really like some of their leather bags. I carried a huge quilted black one all winter.
I have no explanation for this creepy dumbass smile, and I look like I'm missing a chunk of my leg where the light is hitting. I took it from far away since my hair's not brushed and I don't have makeup on...that's what huge sunglasses are for. I know my shorts are super short, but I'm not going anywhere nice and since it's not a skirt I don't have to worry about exposing anything.
I've had these shoes for nearly a year, but this is the first time I've worn them. I have the same pair in black that I've worn before though.
She likes it so I let her model the various ways it can be carried :D.

Product rave
I always wear some sort of powder...for the most part my skin stays clear, but I do get a bit shiny sometimes. I saw Boots Time Dimensions facial balm at Target on sale from $17 down to $8 and change. I've been using it when I wash my face both in the morning and at night, but at night I use a night cream to go along with it. I've been using it for a week...my face hasn't been getting shiny. It says nothing about controlling shine, but for some reason it has that effect for me.
My only complaint is that when I look really close up in certain lighting I see tiny pink shimmer. I don't like shimmer all over my face, but like I said it's only visible very close up. I wish it contained SPF too.
It gives this soft glow that the photo doesn't capture, but you can see that my face is shine free. I have absolutely no face makeup on(foundation, concealer, powder, blush...obviously I have on a little eye makeup :D). I took this without flash since flash is often a little too flattering to skin sometimes. The lighting in my house seems a little too unflattering though :P.

Blue
I've realized that using a light shimmery color on the inner corners makes a difference after all. A lot of times I don't bother, but I think it makes me look a bit more awake even if the rest of my eyeshadow is dark.
I'm wearing
NYC Powder
MAC Pink Swoon blush
L'oreal de-crease
88 palette 2 blues and the black
Milani highlight color from the Autumn Earth quad
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt on the inner corners as a base for the Milani e/s
Revlon Colorstay liner
falsies from Ebay
Lancome l/s in Pale Lip

Tutorial Attempt
The pics I zoom in on get a bit blurry. I'll try to explain as much as I can to compensate for the shiteous pictures.
This is gonna be a pretty basic cut crease look. No matter what or how many colors I use, the application is pretty much the same...maybe just more time consuming because of blending more colors together.
I think the most important part of this is the transition color. It can look fine if the black is well blended into the main color, but I like it better when there is another color in between. I just use a color that's darker than the main color.
Highlight under brow...I'm using Milani.
Apply main color on lid...go a little above your crease. I'm using a lightish pink.
Throughout the rest of this I'll be using the mini contour brush from Coastal Scents. I love how tiny it is; I have more control over where I want the e/s to go.
Put black e/s into your crease. I make a pretty dark line since it's going to be blended out.
Not blended yet
Blend the top and bottom of the black line to soften the edges
Apply red or fuschia over the edges where the black e/s ends on the top and bottom. This way there will be a gradient from light pink/fuschia/black.
Just applied, not blended yet
Go ahead and blend the harsh edges if you like. I don't blend at any particular time, sometimes I wait until I'm almost finished and sometimes I blend as I go.
Apply black from the outer corner of your eye to the end of the black in your crease. I do this since I don't like to leave the black line in the crease just hanging there at the end. This looks more complete to me. Blend it inward a tiny bit.
Just applied, not blended yet
Apply shadow to the bottom lashline and finish whatever blending you haven't done. On the lower lashline I put the light pink on the inner half, the fuschia on the outer half, and a little black over the fuschia.
Eyeliner, mascara or falsies, then done!
After liner, no falsies yet
Finished...notice how clear this is compared to the zoomed in close up pics. I wish those came out like this one.
I threw on jewelry and a head band to look a little more put together...I was actually in my workout clothes. Decent from the neck up, sloppy everything else :D. I just washed the makeup off and got on the elliptical.
Gotta get that bikini body :P
I'll do a better tutorial when I'm actually getting ready to go out. It's a little sloppy since I was just going to wash it off right away.

I finally got to wear my new brown shoes. My outfit today...
The skirt is loose at the waist. I can't wear a belt with it since it will just bunch up.
