It's 2:11 a.m and I'm nowhere near tired so I'll post pics of my makeup earlier today. I had to hold my bangs because they don't stay put when I try to move them away from my face.
And the Claire's nail polish in Secret Garden in my previous post isn't crap! Two coats plus topcoat here. It was completely opaque after the second coat, compared to having to apply four coats of the polish in Glitz and Glam.
Oh, and the list of makeup I'm wearing... Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer CoverGirl blush in Rose Silk
L'oreal De-crease a pale pink on my lid and plummy purple in the crease from a Profusion 98 palette Mac Vanilla Pigment for browbone Wet N Wild Idol Eyes pencil in Techno(lined around my eyes) Maybelline black gel liner on upper lashline and waterline false lashes
Maybelline Color Sensational Gloss in Pink Perfection
My poor neglected blog. I created it right after I turned 22, and I'm now a month away from the elderly age of 24. Woo! Geritol shots at the bingo hall, hell yeah! Maybe not quite there yet, but my soul weeps when I realize I'm about to turn another year older. Ok, pity party stops here. I'm clearly moving toward senile territory...
Sorry for the weird glow/blurriness in these photos btw. I've really only used this camera to make videos, and haven't messed around with the camera settings enough to where I can get normal looking pictures if I'm not taking them in daylight. I'm slightly camera impaired.
I haven't used hair dye since I darkened it back in June. I missed having hair that actually feels like normal human hair,so I had to say goodbye to lightening it. I've been using henna every once in a while since I read that it would help add body, and I'm all for anything that can give me bigger hair. Plus I like the slight red tint it provides because I don't want my hair color to look too flat/dull. The red is especially noticeable outside in daylight, but it's still a little noticeable indoors.
Makeup I was wearing in the above: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer Mac Sunbasque blush
N.Y.C Browser Brush on Brow Kit in Brunette L'oreal de-crease Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Not Just Nudes(lid, the darkest color) Hard Candy Bronzer in Tropics(lid, to set the cream shadow) Maybelline Natural Smokes quad(crease and lower lashline, the brown labeled "crease") Mac Carbon(outer v, outer 1/3 of lower lashline) Physician's Formula Shimmer Strip in Vegas Strip(under brows and on inner corners) Maybelline gel liner Cheap no name false lashes
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Dreamy
I bought a Maybelline e/s quad in Sunlit Bronze a few days ago. Really pretty colors, sadly they aren't the greatest quality. I never usually have a problem with Maybelline eyeshadows, but these are so sheer. I'm wearing it in these pics.
I just bought these nail polishes from Claire's. I've only tried Glitz and Glam so far...it's so pretty but so sheer. I had to apply 4 coats so my expectations for the other two aren't so high. L to R: Glitz and Glam, Cosmic, Secret Garden
Just a dark green w/ black on the outer part and whitish highlight. If I don't wear lipstick underneath my camera picks up the dazzleglasses pretty well. I'm wearing Everyday Minerals semi-matte formula MAC Sunbasque blush
L'oreal de-crease Milani Autumn Earth quad (dark green and the white) MAC Carbon e/s Elegant Lashes #99 Revlon Colorstay liner
MAC Dazzleglass in Rags to Riches
TJ Maxx never has anything I like, yet I still go every now and then in search of some amazing bargain. I just bought these shoes. I pretty much only go out in heels so these are just staying in the neighborhood shoes. No point in wearing heels to a friend's house down the street. Of course I'd like to, but then I'd just look like an idiot :P.
I planned on doing a really dark, dramatic smokey eye but since my eye is still red and shrunken I decided to do something less likely to draw attention to my eyes.
I'm using: Boots Botanics Tinted Moisturizer MAC Pink Swoon blush
L'oreal de-crease and HIP black cream liner 88 palette white, grayish brown, and black Ardell lashes
MAC Snob l/s, and some gloss I can't remember. My lips don't look this scary chalky in person I swear.
My right eye is so blood shot. It was like that when I woke up...from allergies I suppose. Damn you Claritin, you're useless. I didn't even bother to brush my hair while I blow dried. I'm too tired and lazy today.
I'm using Boot's Botanics Tinted Moisturizer TheBalm Hot Mama
L'oreal De-crease and HIP black cream liner 88 palette-white, black, yellow, orange, hot pink Red Cherry lashes
Crappy quality picture, but do you think this skirt is too short for me? I love tiered ruffley anything, and since it's floral I thought it would be cute for spring. I'm 5'8" though so minis tend to be pretty short on me. Here's an eye from yesterday...I did blue and white. I had to crop because I didn't have a chance to take a decent pic since someone showed up at my house. When I took this one my hair still looked Einstein-ish. Anyway, on to today's makeup...similar but I added black in the outer v I'm using Urban Decay Surreal Skin mineral powder MAC Sunbasque and something shimmery over it...I don't remember what though
L'oreal de-crease and HIP black cream liner 88 palette 2 blues and the black MAC Dazzlelight Red Cherry lashes
Whit from whitzmakeuptipz has a poll to choose one of the winners for her Spice Girls contest, and I'd appreciate any votes I get if you liked mine :).
I know it's hard to see in my photos, but after going back to my UD mineral powder today I realized that I like it much more than Everyday Minerals. In person this looks much more natural. I apply very little so I thought it was weird that the Everyday Minerals looked so obvious sometimes (to me at least).
And a question...my hair color in my photos looks very gold/bright orange. I already put the macro setting on when I take fotds because if I don't my photos are so bright my nose disappears. Is there some kind of setting I can use to fix this? I've tried putting scotch tape over the flash to tone it down, but I usually end up with dark reddish photos when I do that. When I don't use flash they're too blurry...changing the ISO helped a little but they still looked like crap. I don't want to buy a new camera just because my hair color isn't photogenic.
I used:
Urban Decay Surreal Skin mineral powder TheBalm Hot Mama
L'oreal de-crease two purples from 88 palette MAC Dazzlelight L'oreal HIP black cream liner Red Cherry lashes
MAC Cremesheen l/s in Creme Cup MAC lipglass in Underage
I took these while I was still in my house clothes...I didn't wear a bright blue shirt with my makeup .
I used: Everyday Minerals in the matte formula Laura Geller Blush n Brighten in Berry
L'oreal de-crease MAC Dazzlelight 88 palette: the lightest pink, a bright pink, lime green, regular green, and black L'oreal HIP black liner Red Cherry lashes
I wasn't going to post this after looking at the pictures because it's a bit of a blah look, but I figured there's no harm in posting it anyway :). I finally ordered an 88 palette from Coastal Scents this week, and it came in today. My sister's face lit up when I opened it to show her. She said "Ooh! Lotsa makeup" then asked me to give her a brush.
She wanted me to take a picture of her doing the splits.
I used: Everyday Minerals in the semi matte formula Dior Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond just down my nose Milani Luminous blush
NYX Yogurt Jumbo Pencil MAC Vanilla Pigment MAC Star Violet e/s L'oreal HIP black cream liner Red Cherry lashes
MAC Cremesheen l/s in Creme Cup A light peach Smashbox l/g the sticker came off so I don't know the name
